My first real, work-filled month of North-gate Help Desk. We have made amazing progress, I have already started to get assignments, like building a teacher's website. Right now I'm working on a website for Mrs. Reimer, she teaches U.S. history and sociology. The website builder I am using to create her website is Weebly, which is the same site I am using to create this website. Another activity I've got going on in progress is my app review, I finally settled on a great learning app, and website, named Khan Academy. Khan Academy began as a website, but was then created as an app. So now people are able to download it onto their phone. I first used Khan Academy, as a website, last year for coding in my engineering class. Khan Academy has a variety of different subjects, the coding segment for example. Although in the image to the left you are able to see many different courses that you're able to take.

For the first week of Northgate Help Desk we started with basics, like making our own websites and setting up our ILE (Independent Learning Endeavor). ILE is also known as 20% time, which is Inspired in part by Google’s 20% time project, as well as the pilot program at Monument Mountain Regional High School in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, the ILE allows Help Desk students to devote (20% (TUESDAY'S) of their time to a project that is “unrelated” to the Help Desk day to day goals and objectives. My own ILE was to build a website for one of my favorite teachers. Sadly that changed, and it was given to a more capable student. Other subjects I worked on throughout the week were my app reviews, I'm still deciding between two great apps though. Here are some links to the sources that helped me.
